Jolie to Open in December on Julia Street

NEW ORLEANS – Jolie lounge and brasserie opens Dec. 1 in a former warehouse at 324 Julia Street. It’s taking over a space last occupied by World of Beer, which closed in 2019.

The project is the byproduct of a partnership between British brothers Chris and Mark Beardon of the Dallas-based hospitality group SBBC Hospitium and fellow Brit Andrew Duncan, formerly of Gravier Social Club, and the Crescent Hospitality Krewe in New Orleans. The Crescent team created the Hell’s Gala New Orleans Halloween celebration.

The partners promise a “mélange of Parisian flair and New Orleans zest,” according to a recent press release.

General manager Kiah Darion, a New Orleans native, will oversee a menu rooted in New Orleans and French Cuisine. Beverage director Will Lester, who comes from Dovetail and Longway Tavern, has devised a cocktail menu inspired by New Orleans history and classic European aperitifs.

The interior was designed by Dallas-based 75 Degree Design Studio.

“Our vision is simple. We want to blend extraordinary cocktails, delicious food, live music, ambience and great friends into an experience I can only describe as ‘loungerie,’” said Duncan. “We think Jolie is the first ‘loungerie’ in the world.”
