BATON ROUGE (AP) — Former Gov. Bobby Jindal has been added to the Cotton Holdings Inc. Board of Directors.
The Advocate’s Elizabeth Crisp reports the company announced Jindal's addition to the board on Tuesday.
In a news release, CEO Pete Bell says he's worked with Jindal over the past several years and is confident Jindal's "vast expertise and depth of knowledge of government, coupled with his extensive commercial experience, will added tremendous value" to Cotton Holdings.
Jindal, a Republican, left office in January after serving two terms as Louisiana's governor. He previously served as a congressman, head of the state Department of Health and president of the University of Louisiana System. He unsuccessfully sought the GOP nomination for president last year.
