METAIRIE, LA – The Jefferson Chamber Young Professionals, an organization dedicated to enhancing opportunities for emerging civic and economic leaders in Jefferson Parish and the surrounding region, will host a How to be a Grown-Up dinner at Ralph Brennan’s Heritage Grill, 111 Veterans Memorial Blvd., on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The latest installment of the “How to be a Grown-Up” series, a six-month initiative designed to help young professionals tackle tough subjects like first-time home-buying and saving for retirement, will be centered around making a good first impression, building a strong resume, and handling the ever-daunting lunch interview.
Speakers from Ochsner Health System, Loyola University and Heritage Grill will share tips to help young professionals advance their careers over a three-course dinner at Metairie’s go-to lunch spot for folks looking to mix mid-day business with pleasure. Ralph Brennan’s Heritage Grill, which is normally closed in the evenings, will open its doors to the group for a unique and enlightening evening.
Heritage Grill’s Executive Chef Christopher Vazquez has planned a signature meal for the evening:
• Mixed Green Salad with Goat Cheese Croutons, Spiced Pecans, and Steen’s Sweet Vinaigrette
• Fresh Gulf Bronzed Fish on a bed of Corn Macque Choux with Smoked Tomato Butter Sauce
• Heritage’s House-made Chocolate Doberge Cake, baked layers of fluffy chiffon cake alternated by smooth chocolate pudding and covered in chocolate ganache
Tickets are $30, which covers tax and gratuity.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a cocktail and networking hour.
The formal dinner with mentors will kick off at 7:00 p.m.
