NEW ORLEANS — John F. Jakuback and Sean T. McLaughlin have been elected to Kean Miller’s seven-member management committee. They will serve a two-year term that began Jan. 1. They join Esteban Herrera, Erich Rapp, Mark Marionneaux, Bill Caughman and Managing Partner Linda Perez Clark on the firm’s management team.
Jakuback is a partner in the Baton Rouge and Houston offices, practicing in the areas of commercial and personal injury litigation. He defends Fortune 500 corporations, regional businesses, municipalities and local contractors. He has experience in industrial maintenance and construction contracts, oil and gas catastrophic loss litigation, retail casualty litigation, slip and fall claims, and premises liability claims. He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 2008-2024.
McLaughlin is a partner in the New Orleans office, practicing in the energy, maritime, commercial litigation and tax groups. He primarily represents clients in litigation involving breach contract, commercial lease disputes, tax controversies, high-exposure personal injury, and contractual indemnity/additional insured status. He has brought bench and jury trials to conclusion in state and federal courts. He is listed in Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for 2015-2018.
