Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse Announces The 7th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Jazz Awards

NEW ORLEANS – Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse at Royal Sonesta New Orleans, 300 Bourbon St., will announce and present the 7th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Jazz Awards honoring community leaders who embody the spirit of Dr. King, on Sunday, January 17, 2016,  at 7:00 p.m.

         Award recipients are:

• Phyllis Landrieu, Co-Founder, President and CEO, Childhood & Family Learning Foundation; Co-Founder, Mahalia Jackson Early Childhood Center and Elementary School; Member of the Louisiana Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Coalition
