BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ Investar Holding Corp. (ISTR) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $3.8 million.
The bank, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, said it had earnings of 39 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 40 cents per share.
The holding company for Investar Bank posted revenue of $19.2 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $15.5 million, exceeding Street forecasts.
Investar shares have climbed almost 7 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $25.70, an increase of 12 percent in the last 12 months.
