The International High School of New Orleans (IHSNO) is a high performing, open enrollment, public charter school open to students throughout Louisiana in grades 9 through 12. IHSNO is the only high school in New Orleans offering students the opportunity to participate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The IBDP is recognized and respected by the world’s leading universities for its ability to encourage students to think broadly, beyond the boundaries of their communities, and to develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a global economy.
Students in the IBDP are more likely to get university acceptance, qualify for scholarships, and succeed in their post-secondary educational endeavors. Through the IBDP, IHSNO students gain excellent breadth and depth of knowledge, excel in their academic subjects, and thrive intellectually, emotionally and ethically.
IHSNO received “The Best Kept Secret” award from the Downtown Development District of New Orleans.
IHSNO accepts applications from Louisiana residents statewide. In Orleans Parish, IHSNO participates in the OneApp system for applications. Regardless of the parish of residence, all students should be assigned through the OneApp process. Applicants should go to enrollnola.org to apply.
