International Coffee Corp. wins IFFCBANO Award of Excellence

The International Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers Association of New Orleans (IFFCBANO) presented the Award of Excellence to International Coffee Corporation during IFFCBANO’s 38th annual International Trade Symposium in Point Clear, Alabama.

International Coffee Corporation (ICC), owned and operated by the multi-generational Madary family, won the award for its dedication to keeping its Louisiana businesses in New Orleans since 1977. William (Bill) Madary III, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ICC, accepted the award on behalf of the company. In addition to shipping coffee through the Port of New Orleans, ICC uses local warehouses and trucking companies to transport, store and dray its vast global shipments.

The theme of the 2016 International Trade Symposium, held May 19-22, was “The Future of Shipping: Thinking In and Out of the Box.” Chaired by Sandra Frazier of J.W. Allen & Company, the symposium offered presentations by many industry leaders from a broad section of the trade and transportation community along the Gulf Coast. Panelists represented organizations such as the Port of New Orleans, CN, the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, Evergreen Packaging and APM Terminal Mobile. The program provided insight on a number of topics including the London Metals Exchange, SOLAS, new trucking regulations and cyber security.
