NEW ORLEANS – Northwestern Mutual is hosting a free women’s empowerment luncheon event on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters, 101 Victory Ave., in City Park, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
“Inspiring Leaders: The Power of You” is a multi-city tour event for women to connect with and hear from local female leaders on leadership, success, financial empowerment and how to achieve a work/ life balance.
The event includes a unique panel discussion showcasing inspirational women leaders sharing experiences and advice on their journey to leadership success. The Power of You instills confidence and inspires women to embrace their authentic selves so they can create a plan to achieve their short-term and long-term goals – personally, professionally and financially.
Participating panelists include:
• Moira Forbes
President and Publisher of ForbesWoman
Forbes is the president and publisher of ForbesWoman, a multimedia platform serving successful women in business and leadership. She is the host of the online video series “Success with Moira Forbes” and founder of the Forbes Executive Women’s Board.
• Alexa Von Tobel
Founder and Chief Executive Officer, LearnVest, Author of “Financially Fearless”
Tobel is a certified financial planner (CFP®) and is series 65 licensed. She formerly worked at Morgan Stanley at the proprietary trading desk. She is also the author of the New York Times bestseller “Financially Fearless.”
• Beth Rodenhuis
Senior Vice President of Field & Strategy Services, Northwestern Mutual
Rodenhuis is responsible for the company’s distribution strategy and planning and field services, support and rewards. She also serves on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee.
• Kimberley Goode – Moderator
Vice President of Communications & Corporate Affairs, Northwestern Mutual
Kimberley leads Northwestern Mutual’s internal and external communications strategy. She is also a member of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation Board. Goode was named one of the 25 Influential Black Women in Business by The Network Journal in 2014 and one of Savoy magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America in 2012.

After the panel discussion, there will be time for a Q&A session from the audience.
There will also be complimentary self-parking available in the lot across the street from the Pavilion of the Two Sisters on Victory Avenue.
