Inside the Industry: Engineering

U.S. Forensic

In 2006, a group of local forensic engineers saw a need for a Louisiana-based, multi-disciplined forensic engineering firm and founded U.S. Forensic to provide local forensic engineers and expert witnesses to the New Orleans and Louisiana area markets. Since its founding almost a decade ago, U.S. Forensic has rapidly grown from a small, three-man boutique firm to the largest forensic engineering firm in Louisiana and one of the largest forensic firms in the nation with 26 locations across the country.

The firm has performed thousands of evaluations and has provided expert witness in local, state, and federal courts. U.S. Forensic has been named one of the Top 10 Engineering Firms by New Orleans CityBusiness four years in a row and has also been named a Top 100 Private New Orleans Company and one of the Best Places to Work (Large Companies) for the last two years. As forensic engineers, the company’s team is sought by federal, state and local governments, corporations, and law firms to investigate the cause of fatal car accidents, building collapses, electrocutions, construction defects, and the causes of other damages to property and equipment.

U.S. Forensic attributes its success to its dedicated team: “Our employees enjoy what they do and are particularly good at it,” says Gary L. Bell, managing partner. “Acutely involved ownership and very few layers of management help us remain responsive and available when needed for immediate deployment to accident scenes across the state and the country,” he says.
