OLIVE BRANCH, MS (AP) — Innpack Inc., manufacturer of packaging for the food industry, will build a new production facility in Olive Branch, MS.
The new operation will replace a rented factory now located in Memphis, TN. The company will move the 23 jobs from Memphis to Olive Branch over the next several months. The move represents a $2 million corporate investment.
The announcement came Friday from Gov. Phil Bryant and company and local officials.
The Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance for building improvements and one-time relocation costs. The city of Olive Branch and DeSoto County provided assistance in the form of property tax exemptions.
Korean-owned Innpack produces flexible packaging for the food industry, including plastic and natural fiber processes. The company's primary customer base is bulk rice producers and marketers.
