POINT CLEAR, AL – The International Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers Association of New Orleans (IFFCBANO) held its 38th annual International Trade Symposium in Point Clear, AL, and presented their “Award of Excellence” to International Coffee Corporation (ICC) for their dedication to keeping their Louisiana businesses in New Orleans since 1977.
ICC is owned by a multi-generational family and continues to call New Orleans home. Accepting the award on behalf of the ICC family was William (Bill) Madary, III, President & CEO, International Coffee Corp.
This year, the theme of the IFFCBANO symposium was: “THE FUTURE OF SHIPPING: Thinking IN and OUT of the BOX”
Chaired by Sandra Frazier of J.W. Allen & Company, the program offered presentations by many respected individuals from a wide range of sections of the trade and transportation community along the Gulf Coast. Panelists were from organizations such as the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, Evergreen Packaging, CN Railroad, the Port of New Orleans and APM Terminal Mobile. The program provided insight on a number of topics such as the London Metals Exchange, SOLAS, the Port of New Orleans New Intermodal Terminal, New Trucking Regulations and Cyber Security.
