NEW ORLEANS – IBERIABANK, the 132-year-old subsidiary of IBERIABANK Corporation, is celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Week by contributing to the grocery bills of area shoppers. Details were shared in a press release.
IBERIABANK teams will hit the streets between Tuesday, Feb. 19 and Friday, Feb. 22, performing random acts of kindness by paying for groceries at stores located throughout its footprint.
“Giving back is part of our culture, and we are excited to pay it forward with acts of kindness throughout our community,” says Hunter Hill, New Orleans market president. “Our hope is to inspire a chain reaction to those around us, and we encourage everyone to participate in your own way.”
For many years, IBERIABANK has incorporated random acts of kindness into the Company’s culture by encouraging associates to build goodwill in their communities through kindness. Bankers have purchased gas for people at the pumps, paid off holiday layaways, delivered donuts to service workers, picked up lunch tabs, and more. Associates have also volunteered thousands of hours to teach financial literacy, pounded nails on job sites, and cooked food for those in need.
