NEW ORLEANS – IBERIA announced in a press release that James J. Reiss III has joined IBERIA Wealth Advisors as executive vice president and regional managing director for Louisiana and Texas. A native of New Orleans, Reiss most recently served as a principal and investment advisor with Southern Wealth Management in New Orleans. Previously, Reiss was a member of Howard Weil, Johnson Rice & Co., and spent 10 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps as an AH-1W Supercobra pilot. He left the Marine Corps as a Captain in 2005.

Reiss is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is actively involved with several charitable organizations including the New Orleans VFW, and has served on the boards of the New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation, Lighthouse Louisiana, the Pro Bono Publico Foundation, and the New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy. He currently resides in uptown New Orleans with his wife Erica and their three children.
