NEW ORLEANS – Hynes Charter School will celebrate Financial Awareness Week with the help of Curious George, WYES and representatives from Whitney Bank.
On Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m., at Hynes Charter School, 990 Harrison Ave., a representative from Whitney Bank will read Hynes Kindergarteners the story “Curious George Saves His Pennies” and talk to the students about the importance of saving at an early age.
WYES is sending Curious George in person to the event and following the talk, each class will take a picture with him.

This event will also coincide with Hynes' "Pennies for Patients" drive, which is raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
