METAIRIE – More than 250 residents attended the Jan. 11 grand re-opening celebration of the Humana neighborhood location in Metairie. The Humana Neighborhood Location offers a variety of free health and wellness activities and programs.
The event kicked off with a ribbon cutting to officially open the 6,500-square foot space, which boasts a new activity room that is almost twice the size of the former location.
The event featured a cooking demonstration with New Orleans celebrity Chef Nino Thibodeaux, a SilverSneakers exercise class, chargrilled oysters from Drago’s, live entertainment, giveaways and more.
The location is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located at 747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Click here for more information and a list of programs at the location.
