House of Blues’ Bringin' Down The House 2015

NEW ORLEANS – Registration is now open for the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation’s 2015 Bringin' Down the House program.

         Young musicians, ages 13-19, are invited to apply now through Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, for a chance to connect with music industry insiders through interactive workshops and showcase their talents on the legendary House of Blues stage.

         The program is free of charge to all eligible participants, including bands, duos and solo artists. Six performers or bands will be selected in each participating city to take part in the industry sessions and live showcase performance.

         All band members must live within a 150-mile radius of the House of Blues venue in the participating city.

         Submissions will be reviewed and selected based on musicianship, creativity and sound quality.

         Selected participants must attend each of the 4 Saturday industry sessions and the live showcase.

         Industry session topics include music marketing, music creation and representation, music as a business and live production.

         Featured panelists will include representatives of Live Nation, ASCAP, Def Jam, Motown Records and Universal Music Publishing Group and House of Blues Entertainment.
