This is the industry’s eighth career fair this year in a series of Hospitality and Tourism Job Fairs designed to connect job seekers with industry employers in a comfortable and approachable environment, facilitate networking and provide assistance in the hiring process. It is recommended that job seekers bring an updated resume, but is not required.

The Job Fair will include opportunities to meet with a variety of hotel, restaurant and tourism employers one-on-one and learn more about the hiring process. The event is open to everyone.

Tourism is a top 10 employer in 49 of the 50 states, and is a $7 billion dollar industry in New Orleans supporting more than 86,000 jobs, NOCVB reps said. Careers range from food and beverage service, housekeeping, sales, guest relations, finance, administration and more. These jobs can provide growth and opportunity to move up in a company, as well as employee benefits. Attending a hospitality and tourism career fair is the first step towards building a meaningful and long-lasting career in New Orleans’ largest industry, NOCVB reps said.
