Hospitality And Tourism Industry Hosts April Job Fest At First Grace Methodist Church

 

NEW ORLEANS —The New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau (NOCVB) is hosting a Job Fest in Mid-City at the First Grace United Methodist Church, located at 3401 Canal St., on Wednesday, April 25. The event will feature new job openings from dozens of the industry’s top employers in the hotel, restaurant, and tourism industry, ranging from entry level to managerial positions. Interested attendees are encouraged to bring an updated resume, though it is not required.

The New Orleans CVB is committed to growing the workforce of the hospitality industry, a sector that currently has more than 89,000 employees. This event is the fourth Job Fest hosted by the CVB in 2018 and is part of a bigger list of events promoting local advocacy in the city, including job shadow opportunities, tourism advocacy training, and more.

Designed to be a one-stop shop for job candidates, the New Orleans CVB’s Job Fests allow participants to meet with a variety of employers from hotels, restaurants, and other tourism fields. Participants can ask questions and learn more about the hiring process in a welcoming, one-on-one setting. The Job Fest is part of an effort to connect job seekers to careers in the hospitality and tourism industry across New Orleans.
