Homewood Suites By Hilton Hires News Leadership

NEW ORLEANS – Homewood Suites by Hilton, an upscale, extended-stay hotel in downtown New Orleans, has announced the appointment of Frank Hess as General Manager.

         Hess took over as General Manager of the 166 all suites hotel in September. Under his new leadership role, he has recently hired Rebecca Brown as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Brown begins immediately.

         Hess was formerly the Director of Operations for the InterContinental New Orleans and the Assistant General Manager of the Hilton St. Charles Avenue. His leadership experience includes full-service and rooms focused general management, as well as sales and marketing, and all facets of hotel accounting. Hess has five years of experience working as Director of Finance at the Avenue Crowne Plaza-Chicago (flagship property) and a Director of Field Accounting/Internal Auditor in Florida. “I was hired just after New Orleans was named ‘Second Best City in America’ by Travel + Leisure readers,” Hess said. “There couldn’t be a better time to be a part of the Dimension Development Company and Hilton Worldwide. I am greatly looking forward to being a part of the continued growth and development of the New Orleans Market.”

         Brown comes to Homewood Suites by Hilton with 30 years of hotel sales and marketing experience, most recently at Homewood Suites by Hilton, Riverwalk in San Antonio. Prior to San Antonio, Brown was the Director of Sales and Marketing at W New Orleans Hotel (now Le Méridien New Orleans). She has also worked for several hotels including the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel and the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza New Orleans.
