The Carnival Dream and the Norwegian Dawn berth on a sunny spring day at the Port of New Orleans’ two centrally located cruise facilities—Erato Street and Julia Street Cruise terminals. The Port was recently named “Friendliest Homeport” by Porthole Cruise Magazine for the third consecutive year. Previously, the Port was also honored as the “Most Cultural” and “U.S. Homeport of the Year” by the same magazine, and Cruise Critic, a leading cruise reviews and information website, named the Port of New Orleans its “Best North American Homeport” in 2014.
Riding a wave of success, the Port also surpassed the 1-million passenger milestone for annual embarkations/disembarkations for the second straight year. This marks five consecutive years of cruise business growth for the Port of New Orleans.
