LAFAYETTE, LA (AP) — Lafayette-based Home Bank has converted from a federal savings bank charter to a national bank charter.
The bank's legal name is now Home Bank, National Association. Home Bancorp is still the holding company.
President and Chief Executive Officer John W. Bordelon tells The Advocate Home Bank converted to a national bank charter because that better aligns with the commercial and retail banking business model the savings and loan had operated under for more than a decade.
