LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) _ Home Bancorp Inc. (HBCP) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $7.8 million.
The bank, based in Lafayette, Louisiana, said it had earnings of 84 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, were 93 cents per share.

The financial holding company posted revenue of $28.9 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $26.7 million, which beat Street forecasts.
Home Bancorp shares have risen 7 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 10 percent in the last 12 months.
