For 63 years, the HBAGNO has presented the popular and highly anticipated New Orleans Home and Garden Show, which has been a staple in the community.
“People look forward to going every year and seeing new products, meeting builders, getting new ideas and information for their next project.”says show manager, Mike Zalaznik.
The Home and Garden Show takes place this year from March 9 through March 11 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and will highlight new technologies and building practices. It generally draws in about 250 businesses per year.
The consumer-related show is open to the public and offers promotions, meet-and-greets with home experts, vendor booths and entertainment, including live cooking and art demonstrations.
The Home and Garden Show is curated toward “people who have a project or are looking to do a project,” says Zalaznik, and it offers inspiration on anything related to the home. This year, he is particularly excited about the show home that will be transported into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for walk-throughs and tours. These homes are designed to fit on a South Louisiana style lot and are transported directly to empty lots. “It’s a different concept than what you’ve seen before,” adding that it differs from modular and mobile homes. “These are perfect starter houses — ideal for a couple or a single person, and they fit seamlessly into New Orleans area neighborhoods.”
