KENNER, LA – The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana Foundation announced the launch of its Bilingual Workforce Development Program. This program will provide employment and training services to individuals within the Hispanic community in preparing and finding gainful employment.
The program anticipates success in bringing together the local business community with a much-needed skilled workforce, Chamber reps said. It is eligible to all adults aged 18 or older who are legal U.S. citizens or residents and are currently unemployed.
The main services provided will include career counseling, resume and cover letter assistance, interview preparation, and job placement. Participants will also have a Hispanic instructor/ case manager for support and computer lab access to utilize career training software.
An official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is scheduled for early January 2017 at 2200 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Suite 200, in Kenner, LA, and the program’s office hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
