NEW ORLEANS – Employees of the Higgins Hotel next to the National World War II Museum are making and delivering thousands of boxed lunches to the frontline employees working at the New Orleans VA Medical Center. The meals are being delivered every weekday through the rest of July and August. The program is sponsored by the Gary Sinise Foundation and prepared and run by the Higgins culinary team, headed by chef Virgile Brandel and general manager Daniel Rhodes.
“We are proud to be partnering once again with the Gary Sinise Foundation in the delivery of meals to the frontline workers at Veteran’s facilities in Louisiana,” said Rhodes. “The foundation has been a generous and loyal partner with the museum over the years in recognizing our veterans, and the Higgins Hotel is honored to find a way to contribute to this effort.”
