NEW ORLEANS – Health 360: Interactive Wellness and Career Expo returns to the New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School, Sci High, on Friday, Nov. 21, at Sci High’s campus, located at 5625 Loyola Ave., New Orleans, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sci High will be hosting its 2nd annual interactive fair highlighting physical and emotional wellness, strategies for healthy living and careers in Health Care and STEM fields.
Every Sci High student will have the opportunity to interact with a panel of health care professionals, participate in group physical activities, attend two Wellness Workshops and meet with three local professionals. The goal is for students to leave Health 360 with a greater understanding of holistic health and how their current academic course work relates to Health Care and STEM careers.
Sci High will welcome more than 50 community partners to this event including Louisiana State University, LPHI, Mississippi River Delta Restoration Campaign, Rite Aid, Sodexo, Tulane University, Xavier Cancer Research Institute and the USDA National Finance Center.
The New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School, Sci High, is an open-admission public charter school that prepares students for college admissions and successful careers by providing a rigorous high school curriculum with an emphasis in science and mathematics in a supportive environment of learning and respect that prepares students to make informed choices about post-secondary pursuits.
