NEW ORLEANS – In 2016, the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans (HBAGNO) will celebrate 75 years of building strong homes and stronger communities.
The organization, which covers a seven-parish area, will kick off its 75th year with a black tie Gala, on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport Atrium, 6001 Stars & Stripes Blvd., in New Orleans, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The Gala will include live musical entertainment, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a Silent Auction, and the installation of its 2015-2016 board president and members, recognition of past HBA presidents and a celebration of the future of the HBAGNO.
A portion of the proceeds from the evening’s celebration will benefit Camp Challenge, a grass roots non-profit organization dedicated to giving Louisiana children with cancer and chronic hematological disorders a free, one-week, sleep-away summer camp experience.
Over the past 75 years, Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans (HBAGNO) has served as the preeminent voice and leader of the metro area’s residential construction industry. HBAGNO members have built entire communities and subdivisions throughout the region – housing thousands of families safely, affordably and professionally. And, by educating members and the general public as to the best and most dynamic construction practices, its professionals have set the region on a course for future decades of healthy housing construction and growth, while contributing to the betterment of countless neighborhoods and communities.
The association has also served the community in various capacities, including through several large-scale housing events like the New Orleans Home & Garden Show, which takes place annually at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, via its annual Parade of Homes, and through a host of other events, programs or public policy initiatives.
The black tie Gala is open to the public.
Tickets cost $100 ($75 for HBA members).
