Hancock Whitney will Move to New Office in the CBD

NEW ORLEANS (November 8, 2018)—Hancock Whitney will soon move its main New Orleans offices to a new Central Business District home – 701 Poydras Street, the location of Louisiana’s tallest office building. The announcement was made in a press release.

Hancock Whitney executives confirmed that the bank’s main downtown financial center, currently at 228 St. Charles Avenue, will open Dec.10 on the second floor of the 51-story tower. With that opening, the building now known as One Shell Square will bear a new name—the Hancock Whitney Center. Remaining departments and more than 500 associates will move in phases to the new site from Dec. 2018 through Feb. 2019.

Hancock Whitney will occupy nine floors of unused prime CBD office space in one of the most prominent structures along the city’s skyline. Bank leaders said the relocation is another investment in New Orleans and in Hancock Whitney’s promise for warm 5-star service.

“Hancock Whitney has been in the heart of the CBD since we opened our doors in the 1800s. We’ve grown with and because of the people of this great city and region. Now, as we move our local headquarters just down the street to larger, more modern space, we’re able to continue growing with the people, businesses, and communities we serve while showcasing the financial products, services, and expertise we deliver to help clients achieve their dreams,” said Hancock Whitney president Joe Exnicios.

More than 320 operations and technology associates who work in Hancock Whitney offices at the University of New Orleans will remain in their lakefront locations.
