Hammond Investors Buy Baton Rouge Shopping Center

BATON ROUGE (AP) — Investors from Hammond have bought a 9,800-square-foot shopping center in Baton Rouge for $885,000.

         The Advocate’s Timothy Boone reports that a company owned by Neal, Karen and Krunal Patel bought Acadian Square at 10466 Airline Highway.

         Shree Ganapati Airline LLC bought the building from G & L LLC of Prairieville in a deal filed Friday with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court's Office.

         Benjamin Stalter, a vice president with Maestri-Murrell Commercial Real Estate in Baton Rouge, represented the buyers. He says they bought Acadian Square as a long-term investment.

         He says there's good value in the fully occupied shopping center. Tenants include Louisiana Medical Clinic, a hair salon, a formal wear business and a comic book store.
