NEW ORLEANS — Jay Huffstatler is the new board president of the Gulf South LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. He is the chief advancement officer of New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, leading Habitat’s fundraising, marketing, volunteer and advocacy efforts.
Huffstatler has more than 25 years of fundraising, marketing and community engagement experience at Tulane University, the American Red Cross and other organizations. He is a 2022 NORLI graduate, also serving on the board of directors for Forum for Equality Louisiana and the Association of Fundraising Professionals New Orleans Chapter.
“I am excited to collaborate with our members, stakeholders, and allies to foster innovation, drive growth, and amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs as the next board president,” said Huffstatler in a press release. “Together, we will build bridges, break barriers, and create a business landscape that reflects the strength of diversity.”
