NEW ORLEANS — Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company President Guy T. Williams announced today that Mamie Gasperecz has been appointed to head the bank’s Private Banking Department. In addition, Ms. Gasperecz will also manage the bank’s Magazine Office.
Mrs. Gasperecz has 12 years of banking experience, most recently as a Regional Manager at First Commerce Corporation. Prior to coming to Gulf Coast Bank and Trust Co., she served for 10 years as the Executive Director of the Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic House Museums. She also taught at the University of New Orleans on the adjunct faculty in the College of Business. Mrs. Gasperecz also currently serves on the Vieux Carre Commission.
Mrs. Gasperecz has been active in many local civic groups, including the Preservation Resource Center, the Louisiana Children’s Museum and Breakthrough New Orleans. Her current community involvement includes the New Orleans Tennessee Williams Literary Festival Board of Directors, where she serves as Board President. She is also a member of the Boar of Louisiana Landmarks/Pilot House and the Alumni Board of Loyola University as well as a sustainer of the Junior League of New Orleans.
Mrs. Gasperecz was named YWCA Volunteer of the Year, one of New Orleans Magazine’s “People to Watch” and “Top Female Achievers” and Inside New Orleans’s Women IN Business. Mrs. Gasperecz is married to Kirk Gasperecz, an attorney with the law firm Adams of Reese.
