Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Announces Winners Of 6th Annual Community Rewards Program

NEW ORLEANS — Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company today announced the top ten winners for their 6th Annual Community Rewards Program. Participants will be presented their checks at a celebratory breakfast on April 11.  

The Community Rewards Program welcomed all 501c3 organizations located in the parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, East Baton Rouge and Tangipahoa. With a limit of one vote per day per valid email address, the voting period was from March 5 until March 29.

Since the program launch in 2013, Gulf Coast Bank’s Community Rewards Program has awarded $325,000 to various local nonprofits. President and CEO Guy T. William said, “This year we increased the amount to be given away in our Community Rewards Program from $50,000 to $75,000 in response to the tax reform bill and because we want to help our local nonprofits even more.”

Pack the Park: Scheduled for May 18, Gulf Coast Bank teams up with New Orleans Baby Cakes by purchasing tickets to the game and giving thousands of vouchers to non-profit organizations. These organizations are then able to sell the ticket vouchers for and keep the money for their charity.

Auctions in August: Gulf Coast Bank’s largest fundraising program, is an annual event in which every Gulf Coast Bank branch hosts silent auctions. Each branch coordinates the donation of items and bidding throughout the entire month. 100% of the funds from items sold benefit the non-profit to which they were assigned.
