NEW ORLEANS — The Urban Water @ 10 Finale Event will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Greater New Orleans Water Plan at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the Tulane River and Coastal Center, 1370 Port of New Orleans Place.
Speakers will commemorate the plan’s anniversary and unveil priorities identified by more than 150 stakeholders over the last six months of Urban Water @ 10 programming.
The Greater New Orleans Urban Water Plan was released in November 2013. The Greater New Orleans Foundation, Greater New Orleans Inc., and the Tulane ByWater Institute organized Urban Water @ 10 to “activate regional stakeholders with diverse perspectives to celebrate a decade of progress and co-develop priority actions that will advance the next decade of Urban Water Plan implementation,” said a spokesperson.
Over the past four months, those three organizations partnered with the City of New Orleans Office of Resilience and Sustainability, Waggonner & Ball Architects, LUMCON and the UNO Planning & Urban Studies Department to execute the program.
