DENHAM SPRINGS, LA — Good Feet, a Metairie, LA specialty shoe retailer, teamed up with the community-based organization Cajun Navy to donate 400 pairs of Naot shoes to local flood victims on August 27, 2016. The shoes benefited those that lost their homes and belongings in the historic flooding that struck South Louisiana in August.
With the help of Yaleet Inc., the U.S. distributors of Naot Footwear, Good Feet and Cajun Navy distributed 400 pairs of Naot shoes, sandals and rain boots to provide victims with the support they need to recover from the natural disaster.
“It means the world to be able to give back to our community,” said Renee Piediscalzo, owner of Good Feet. “Through this donation we are not only able to replace something many people lost, but we are also able to assist those working tirelessly to restore their community some much needed comfort and protection for their feet.”
Each week, Yaleet Inc. partners with retailers and organizations around the country to distribute hundreds of pairs of shoes to local charities and people in need, Yaleet Inc. reps said.
Since 1995, Good Feet® has helped millions of feet get back to the activities and lifestyles they thought were lost forever, due to the tremendous feet and back pain. Their products are designed by a team of specialist and researches and are supervised by world-renowned podiatrists, Good Feet® reps said.
Cajun Navy is a Louisiana community-based organization with a mission to support Louisiana flood victims at the local level, while also honoring the men and women of its organization who answered their neighbors’ calls when they were most needed.
Each year, Yaleet Inc., the U.S. distributor of Naot Footwear, donates approximately 15,000 pairs of their shoes, boots and sandals to local charities. Since 1942, Naot has manufactured a wide variety of fine footwear for men and women in Israel. The Naot promise is to never choose between fashion and comfort. Naot shoes have a unique anatomical footbed, designed to quickly align to the specific contours of the wearer's feet. These footbeds– made out of natural cork and latex and covered in a pampering layer of suede– are flexible, soft, shock absorbent, support the heel and alleviate fatigue and pain. The shoes' upper build are made of high quality Italian leather in fashion-forward colors, with new, varied collections each year, Naot reps said.
