NEW ORLEANS – Careers website Glassdoor found employees in New Orleans are the eighth happiest in the U.S.
Looking at satisfaction ratings across the top 50 metro areas in America, Glassdoor considered three factors when creating its “Top Ten Cities Where Employees are Happiest” list: how easy it is to get a job, how affordable it is to live there and how satisfied employees are working there.
The site reports an employee’s quality of life is often dictated by job satisfaction and compensation.
Glassdoor also revealed the median base pay, the number of Glassdoor job listings and a sampling of companies that are hiring in its chosen cities.
For New Orleans:

• Median base salary: $40,000
• Number of open jobs: 34,600
