Mission: Next Generation’s mission is to empower students to initiate campus clubs offering encouragement and biblical guidance through life-giving mentors.
Founded 31 years ago in Metairie, Next Generation Clubs started as an after-school leadership group but has rapidly expanded across the Gulf Coast to over fifty schools with 5,000 student members. These weekly, student-initiated, student-led faith-based school clubs gather students in large group discussions focusing on topics ranging from mental health and bullying to family struggles.
Next Generation supports the students who lead the clubs, mentors who serve, and schools in their communities. With 200 trained mentors and 150 student leaders, Next Generation Clubs have become incredibly influential and effective for their student members. Eighty percent of students surveyed say they are more inspired to help others, and 77 percent say their mental and emotional health has improved. Next Generation’s goal is to continue its mission by expanding across the United States, offering safe and empowering spaces for students to grow and make a difference in their generation.
How To Help :
Next Generation Clubs are a free service offered to schools. Most of our funding comes from individuals and businesses who want to see a tangible difference in their community. All funding provides the students’ and mentors’ training, curriculum, and coaching programs. You can also plan to attend our fall fundraiser, “Candlelight at the Cabildo,” a limited seating, candlelit experience featuring a private concert with local musicians and student testimonials, offering a truly entertaining and inspiring evening.
