Mission: The NKFL is revolutionizing the fight to save lives by eliminating preventable kidney disease, accelerating innovation for the dignity of the patient experience, and dismantling structural inequities in kidney care, dialysis, and transplantation.
The National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana provides vital patient and community services, conducts extensive public and professional education, supports local medical research and advocates for patients through legislative action at a state and federal level. Each year, patients, community and industry leaders from around the country gather in Washington, DC to advocate for equitable access to high-quality healthcare for all kidney patients regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity and socio-economic status.
KIDNEY EQUITY FOR ALLâ„¢ is a movement led by the NKFL and partner organizations to integrate kidney care and the needs of ALL kidney patients into public consciousness. By dismantling structural racism in the healthcare system, accelerating innovation and ensuring access to high-quality healthcare, KIDNEY EQUITY FOR ALLâ„¢ binds us together as a community singularly focused on making lasting, positive change for every individual affected by kidney disease.
