In 2023, Hancock Whitney invested more than $6 million in philanthropic donations and community sponsorships to empower local communities across the Gulf South including opportunity grant awards to expand access to quality financial, physical and mental wellness services.
GIVING BACK IN ACTION :
In an effort to build strong, vibrant communities, Hancock Whitney partnered with Inclusivcare and KABOOM! to build a new playground for local children at Little Ivy Prep in Marrero. More than 100 bank and community volunteers constructed the kid-designed playground in one day. As part of Hancock Whitney’s Banking by Building initiative, the playground provides a safe place for children to play while promoting physical and financial health. The playspace features fun, playful learning experiences incorporating math and literacy concepts to set strong financial foundations. The partnership is set to provide ongoing financial education opportunities for individuals, families, and businesses in the area.
