Gerhart to Lead Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries Association

Monika Gerhart 2024NEW ORLEANS — The Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries Association has named Monika Gerhart executive director. GSREIA is a trade association of renewable energy companies that supports sustainable market growth.

“I’m excited to lend my skill set and expertise to this growing industry. Companies across our region are expanding, and there is so much opportunity to support their growth,” said Gerhart in a statement. “Local governments, industry and others are all finding new ways to save money by adding renewables to decrease energy costs. That creates tremendous growth opportunities for GSREIA member companies.”

“By spearheading economic development activities and leading advocacy on legislative and regulatory dockets in Louisiana and Mississippi, GSREIA makes a significant impact for its member organizations. Gerhart brings experience from serving a variety of government administrations, nonprofits and boards in Louisiana. She founded Green Bayou Solutions to help deploy state and federal resources quickly to the people and projects ready to solve climate, energy and equity challenges.
