BATON ROUGE (press release) – General Informatics has announced its expansion to the Alabama market. On June 1, the IT and network infrastructure company opened its Birmingham office, the first of three planned locations in the state.
In 2001, General Informatics opened its doors in Baton Rouge, and currently has locations in New Orleans; Jackson, Miss.; and now Birmingham. General Informatics boasts a team of more than 60 engineers, programmers and designers throughout the southeast region.  
Last year, General Informatics partnered with Rosewood Private Investments which has allowed the company to grow organically and through acquisition. Its next phase of growth includes entering other markets within Alabama, as well as Texas, Mississippi, and the Florida panhandle.
The new partnership with Rosewood Private Investments will also offer a long list of benefits to customers. For instance, General Informatics will have the ability to invest in the latest technology, attract top talent, and better serve the needs of specific industries.
As a part of their growth strategy, General Informatics named a new CEO and President, Don Monistere, who joined the General Informatics team in November 2020.
