NEW ORLEANS – Gardner Realtors, a leading local, full-service real estate company in the Metro New Orleans, Greater Baton Rouge and Mississippi Gulf Coast Region, is collecting physical donations for those affected by the tornadoes in New Orleans East through its “Gardner Love Anything Drive” in collaboration with Pur[SHOE]ing Joy, a nonprofit organization that gives hope and opportunity through the simple gift of shoes.
Donations will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 9, at local Gardner Realtor offices.
The distribution of donations will take place Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Gardner Realtors New Orleans East Office, 7100 Read Blvd., from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Items being requested for tornado victims include:
• Clean clothes for adults & children
• Shoes
• Socks
• Linens/ towels
• New toiletries
• New underwear
• Diapers
• Cleaning supplies and detergent
• Bulk food (no electricity-friendly items)
• Feminine hygiene products
• Pet food
• Pet shampoo
• Water
“Tuesday’s tornadoes left many homes damaged or entirely destroyed—and their residents injured and displaced,” Gardner Realtors reps said. “When natural disasters like these tornadoes devastate the New Orleans community, neighbors are the ones who step in to help pick up the pieces.
