Gambel Communications Welcomes New Communications Strategist

NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans-based public relations firm Gambel Communications welcomes back Meagen Moreland-Taliancich. As a public relations strategist, Moreland’s responsibilities include media relations, community relations, special event planning and management, and social media. Moreland works on accounts for the Louisiana Children’s Museum, New Orleans Women & Children’s Shelter, One Pack Hospitality, United Way of Southeast Louisiana and Plaquemines Parish Ready Start Network.

Most recently, Moreland served as the chief brand officer at Happy Raptor Distilling, which she co-founded with her husband and business partner in 2020. She also served at the Consulate General of France in Louisiana, where she led press and media for the diplomatic visits of the first female Mayor of Paris, the Ambassador of France in the United States and high-ranking political figures from across the world.

Moreland has been recognized as a Biz New Orleans magazine “New & Notable” and was named one of New Orleans’ 500 most influential leaders. She is an alumnus of Beloved Community and MiNO’s Equity at Work: Hospitality Cohort and Goldman-Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, as well as the City of New Orleans Civic Leadership Academy, the Bryan Bell Leadership Forum and the Loyola Institute of Politics.

A native of South Carolina, Moreland completed her undergraduate studies at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts -– Amherst, and she did doctoral coursework at Tulane University.
