NEW ORLEANS – Fund 17 of New Orleans will host Bayou Bazaar, a neighborhood market occurring in conjunction with New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW). The event will be held on March 28, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Rose Collaborative (2533 Columbus St.). Details were shared in a press release.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will include approximately 30 vendors who have received assistance from Fund 17, including food, beauty, art, and apparel businesses.
“We are very excited to have a home for the Fund 17 community at the Rose Collaborative. This event will bring a variety of people together at our space to shop, network and support the local economy ” said Haley Burns, founder and executive director of Fund 17. "Our goal at Fund 17 is to transform hustles into livelihoods and the showcased entrepreneurs represent the diverse kinds of businesses that are central to this mission."
In addition to hosting a market, Bayou Bazaar will feature a raffle and silent auction that includes contributions from Blue Bikes New Orleans, American Luxury Limousines, City Sightseeing New Orleans, Dr. Bob Folk Art, New Orleans Philharmonic Orchestra, Wild Lotus Yoga, New Orleans Boulder Lounge, and Glitterbox New Orleans.
The bar is sponsored in part by Seven-Three Distilling, which will feature their Gentilly Gin and St. Roch Vodka.
