Friends Of City Park’s ‘Martini Madness’ Raises Proceeds For Restoration Of 100-Year-Old Popp Bandstand

NEW ORLEANS – Friends of City Park (FOCP) will host its annual Martini Madness fundraising event on Friday, Sept. 15, at New Orleans City Park’s Arbor Room, at Popp Fountain, from 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Martini Madness features more than 30 specialty martinis, ranging from classics to one-of-a-kind creations like a Basil Lemon Drop Martini, Blackberry Thyme Martini, Watermelon Cooler, and a Make Your Own Martini Bar. One of the featured martini stations will be the winner from the OffBeat Magazine Martini Week contest. Guests will also enjoy delicious cuisine from more than 25 local restaurants like NOSH, Banana Blossom, Dickie Brennan’s, The Halal Guys, Rosedale and more, organizers said.

The evening will kick off at 7:00 p.m. with “Before the Madness,” an early VIP hour with reserved seating that has already sold-out.

All proceeds from Martini Madness 2017 will benefit the restoration of Popp Bandstand, an iconic structure that’s celebrating its 100th anniversary this year as it was dedicated on July 4, 1917.

Tickets cost $65 for non-members and $55 for FOCP members. Tickets include all food and beverages and attendees must be 21 years or older to attend.
