NEW ORLEANS – French Truck Coffee has created a special blend Mardi Gras called Big Chief Ya Ya, a unique mix of Kenyan and Latin American coffees.
A portion of the proceeds will go to The House of Dance and Feathers, an organization dedicated to preserving the history of Mardi Gras Indians, Social Aid & Pleasure Clubs, and the Skulls & Bones Gangs. To pair with the Big Chief Ya Ya, French Truck will also sell “Salty Mardi Gras Balls,” or doberge bites from Bakery Bar, at its Dryades Street café, 4536 Dryades St.
Established by coffee enthusiast Geoffrey Meeker, French Truck Coffee now has three locations in New Orleans, two in Memphis and one in Baton Rouge. New Orleans locations are Dryades Street, 1200 Magazine St. and 217 Chartres St.
The Big Chief Ya Ya will be available at French Truck Coffee until Feb. 9.
