Malinowski was invited to help create an exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang at the Saratoga Automobile Museum. The exhibit featured his original drawings and visuals of the Mustang.

Malinowski began designing at the Ford Motor Company Design Styling Center in Dearborn, Michigan in 1961 where he worked on the design for the 1964 Thunderbird and Mustang 1.

In later years, Malinowski expanded his design work, designing Olympic bobsleds for the 1988 and 1992 USA Olympic Bobsled Team. His 1992 Olympic bobsled was tested by Boeing Corporation and found to be the most aerodynamic sled of its time.
