MANDEVILLE, La. — Flying Dolly’s, a Southern ice cream and snoball brand founded in Mandeville, plans to open two new franchise locations in Mississippi in early spring 2026, marking the company’s continued expansion across the Gulf South.
One location is slated to open in Gluckstadt, north of Jackson, while a second will open in Bay St. Louis in downtown near the Pearl Hotel, at the corner of Main Street and North Beach Boulevard. Both locations will be independently owned and operated by local families.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome two outstanding families to the Flying Dolly’s team as we grow in markets that truly feel like home for our brand,” said Shane C. Mutter, president of Flying Dolly’s. “Both Gluckstadt and Bay St. Louis embody the warmth, energy, and Southern hospitality that define Flying Dolly’s.”

Franchise agreements for both sites have been executed and the locations have entered the build-out phase. Openings are planned for March and April 2026.
The Mississippi expansion is part of Flying Dolly’s broader growth strategy, which includes a mix of company-owned and franchise locations across Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, with plans to expand into the Florida Panhandle.

Flying Dolly’s currently operates locations in New Orleans, Mandeville and Kenner in Louisiana; Brandon and Flowood in Mississippi; and Mobile, Alabama. The company has been franchising for six years, focusing on a model built around local owner-operators.
Founded in 2011 by Jeff and Corey Robertson, Flying Dolly’s has developed a following for its ice cream, snoballs and specialty desserts, including its Honeycomb Ice Cream and Signature Hummingbird Stuffed Snoball.
