NEW ORLEANS – The Press Club of New Orleans has announced the finalists for the 2015 Excellence in Journalism awards.
Winners will be announced at the 57th Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards Gala, on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Harrah's Theatre. The Awards Gala will be hosted by State Representative and former WDSU-TV anchor Helena Moreno.
WWL-TV Anchor Sally-Ann Roberts and Times-Picayune writer John Pope will be recognized as Lifetime Achievement Award winners.
The Press Club of New Orleans also announced their two College Scholarship recipients: Maria Goddard from Southeastern Louisiana University and Holly Duchmann from University of Louisiana, Lafayette.
Each will receive a check for $2,500.
If you purchase tickets to the Awards Gala before Monday, June 29, you’ll get a chance to win a two-night luxury suite at Harrah's Hotel for the weekend of the event.
