NEW ORLEANS – Fidelity, one of Louisiana’s most established banks, has opened a brand new retail branch in the bustling South Market district in Downtown New Orleans incorporating the very latest in evolving banking technology. Official Grand Opening ceremonies are scheduled this today, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m.
Details were shared in a press release.
Fidelity, founded in 1908, opened the doors to its new community bank branch at 1001 Julia Street Suite, 112A in the heart of the new South District Market, one of the fastest growing residential neighborhoods and business corridors in the city.
The new Fidelity South Market Branch, which replaces the bank’s downtown St. Charles location, has an updated modern look and feel. Its convenient location offers clients the opportunity to bank as they choose. Both, fully-automated solutions as well as full service bankers are available to service the needs of clients.
Fidelity Bank president and CEO Chris Ferris said, “We designed our new financial center to provide a simple, easy and fast banking experience. Our new retail facility reflects the growing and ever expanding South Market District.”
The new 1600-square-foot South Market Banking Center includes the very latest computer upgrades and other automated technological improvements for customer convenience including the new banking service known as the touch down banking for clients who prefer a total digital experience.
In the touch down baking service area, customers can engage with Fidelity electronically to make online transfers from other financial institutions, research products and services and communicate live with a Fidelity representative electronically. Fidelity also has full service banking associates available at the new South Market facility to assist customers who have more complex banking needs.
“We recognize that changing banks can be difficult, and we recognize that clients have a choice and the freedom to decide where and how they want to conduct their financial business. Touch Down banking simplifies the process,” said Ferris.
Included in the bank’s new technology is the Integrated Teller Machine (ITM) which allows customers to make deposits and conduct their real time banking affairs on a touchscreen television monitor.
As part of its 111-year tradition in the Crescent City, Fidelity is committed to hosting community events in its new ultra-modern South Market location.
Fidelity’s South Market Center is now open, but a formal Grand Opening ceremony with local community and business leaders is scheduled for February.
